Memorial Day has come to represent the kick-off of summer, a season of barbecue, beaches and vacations. Commercialization of this sacred holiday has resulted in the loss of the original intent behind the holiday, officially proclaimed on May 5, 1868, to set aside time to pauseand remember the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our nation that their sacrifice should never be forgotten.
"You will never do anything in this world without courage. It is the greatest quality of the mind next to honor." -- Aristotle
